Sigourney comes to the Centre for Workplace Leadership with a love of higher education, social enterprises and digital communication. With seven years of experience in the tertiary education sector she has a strong background in student experience and online engagement, and in expanding opportunities for the University community to connect with industry.
Sigourney is dedicated to developing best practice in the tertiary education sector and is an active driver of staff and organisational development through her role as the local Institutional Coordinator for the Association for Tertiary Education Management and participation as a speaker in higher education conferences around Australia.
As a student she founded the Students’ Association of Management and Marketing and led a student program to provide business consultation to social enterprises. This led to a love of social enterprises and not-for-profits and she continues this involvement as a volunteer with the Kimberley Foundation Australia supporting research into indigenous art in the remote Kimberley region.
In her spare time Sigourney is a professional artist painting synaesthesia art for music lovers worldwide and acts as a web designer and digital consultant to a range of sole-traders and small businesses across Victoria.
Sigourney completed a BA in Philosophy (2010) and a Master of Management (2012) at the University of Melbourne.
