High Performance Work Practices are not just for big businesses.

Perth SME Quality Printers and Cartridges is a great example of how dynamic and enthusiastic a small team of 11 employees can be, given the right management.

As part of our High Performance Manufacturing Workplaces Study, we visited their workplace and interviewed their managers and employees. Director and co-owner Lisa Spark spoke to us about some unique practices they use such as:

  • Empowering employees to make decisions about their day to day work;
  • Setting financial targets for the team and offering rewards if they meet them, including offering the whole team a trip to Bali; and
  • Bringing their dog to work to create a fun, family environment.
